Currently, Mykel serves as the Director of Music Ministries at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Amarillo, Texas.
He leads all choirs (Adult, Youth/Teen, and Children) orchestral/instrumental groups (Weekly Guitar Group, Christmas & Easter groups), and Adult Handbells. You can find him playing Mass weekly at the Organ, Piano, or Cantoring!
Mykel is also an active piano teacher. He teaches beginning and intermediate level.
Mykel also works as a collaborative pianist (accompanist) as needed. In the last few years, he has worked with Canyon Junior High, Lorenzo de Zavala MS, Greenways Intermediate, West Plains HS, Canyon HS, Bushland HS, Ascension Academy, plus a few others.
